Synopsis. Based on a true story, Judas and the Black Messiah follows William O'Neil’s betrayal of Fred Hamption, Chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panthers. In the late 1960s, O’Neil is offered a plea deal by the FBI. He agrees to infiltrate the party to gather intelligence on the chairman.
