Josh Hager (born June 27, 1970), sometimes known professionally as Garvy J., is a musician. Biography. In the 1990s, Hager was a member of the bands The Elevator Drops and Backstroke to Cuba. In 1999, while living in Boston, Rivers Cuomo recommended Hager to former Weezer bassist Matt Sharp.
