He was one of the pioneer performers of magic on radio and television. A debunker of fraudulent mediums, Dunninger claimed to replicate through trickery all spiritualist phenomena.
Mentalist Dunninger was born on December 6, 1881, in Tampico, Illinois. His real name is William Joseph Dunninger and he used the stage name "Dunninger the Great" as a magician and entertainer. He is best known for reading minds over the radio during the 1930s through 1950s.
