JONATHAN PACEY Bass. Jonathan started his singing career as a chorister in the choir of Winchester Cathedral, under David Hill and Andrew Lumsden and won a choral scholarship to Trinity College, Cambridge, under Stephen Layton, where he read Music. He joined VOCES8 in 2015 directly after graduating.

18 de sept. de 2020 · Jonathan Pacey (Bass) Born: England. The English bass, Jonathan Pacey, started his singing life as a chorister in Winchester Cathedral Choir. After Winchester, he gained a music scholarship to Charterhouse, where he was head of the school choir.

Apollo5's Greg Link has sung with them for 9 years, and VOCES8's Jonathan Pacey has spent 7 years with the group. We are thrilled to present a final concert from each group before they leave. Jonathan Pacey The accuracy and oneness of VOCES8’s ensemble sound made such moments effortlessly communicative. Pacey sang with impressive presence, confidently issuing man’s appeal, “Hostias et preces tibi Domine, laudis offerimus” (Lord Jesus Christ, King of glory, we offer unto Thee this sacrifice of prayer and praise).
4 de abr. de 2021 · Jonathan Pacey’s commanding account of the bass solo in the ‘Libera me’ paved the way for the closest Fauré comes to Hellfire and brimstone at the ‘Dies illa, dies irae’. Of course, it is then left to the ‘In Paradisum’ and VOCES8’s angelical sopranos to allow us to ascend on high.
