Jonathan Karp is an American book editor, publisher, and writer. He is the publisher, president, and chief executive of Simon & Schuster, and has also led the company's flagship division. Karp also founded Twelve, an imprint at the Hachette Book Group, and was the editor-in-chief of Random House.
Jonathan Karp was named President and CEO of Simon & Schuster in May 2020. In this role, he leads Simon & Schuster’s numerous publishing groups as well as its international companies in Australia, Canada, India and the United Kingdom. Mr. Karp first joined Simon & Schuster in June 2010 as publisher of the company’s flagship imprint.
