Jonathan Benjamin Hurwitz (born November 15, 1977) is an American screenwriter, director, and producer best known for his work on Cobra Kai (with Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald), the Harold & Kumar films, and American Reunion (with Schlossberg).
Jon Hurwitz is a filmmaker who created Cobra Kai and Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. He was born in 1977 in New Jersey and married to Randy Hurwitz.

He has signed a new four-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, where he will develop comedy, drama and unscripted projects, including spinoffs and offshoots of Cobra Kai.
