Plot. U.S. Marshal Johnny Reno is on his way to the town of Stone Junction on personal business. As he rides through the desert, the fugitive Conners brothers see him and believe he is tracking them. They open fire on him from ambush. Reno is able to defeat the pair, wounding Joe and killing his brother Ed.

Synopsis. As U. S. Marshal Johnny Reno rides toward Stone Junction, Kansas, in 1880, he becomes involved in a gunbattle with the Connors brothers, who mistakenly believe he is tracking them. Reno kills Ab Connors and captures Joe.
