Guitarist Johnny “Bondy” Bond has confirmed his departure from the band along with drummer Bob Hall. Bond joined in 2014 and played on Catfish and the Bottlemen’s 2016 album The Ride and 2019’s The Balance.
He was replaced by Johnny "Bondy" Bond. On 25 July, the band cancelled three festival appearances due to "unforeseen personal circumstances". On 13 August, the band posted on Facebook: "Some of you will have noticed that we have been playing with a different guitarist over the past weekend.

The 32-year-old shared a statement via Instagram confirming that he left the band in 2021, ending speculation about the Welsh rock outfit's current status and line-up. He also explained the reason for his departure.
