History. The band formed in 1983, comprising Mad Shadows members lead singer/rhythm guitarist Trevor Steel and guitarist John Holliday, along with former Expressos members bassist Johnnie Christo (a.k.a. John Christoforou [1]) and drummer Milan Zekavica.
Johnnie formed the Escape Club in 1983. He has been a member ever since, currently living in London and gigging around the world with the band. Johnnie Christo is the bassist of The Escape Club. Their hits include the Grammie Nominated # 1 Wild, Wild West, I'll be There and Shake for the Sheikh.
The Escape Club formed in London, England in 1982 from the remains of two bands; The Expressos and Mad Shadows. Their founding members were; Trevor Steel, John Holliday, Johnnie Christo and Milan Zekavica. Both bands, Mad Shadows and the Expressos had done quite well on the gig circuit.
