6 de may. de 2015 · John Tout, the keyboardist whose playing added a crucial component to Renaissance 's sound during the band's most creatively fertile and commercially successful period, has passed away.
John Tout died of lung failure on 1 May 2015 at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London. According to ultimateclassicrock.com, the band paid tribute to their former keyboardist on their Facebook page, saying: “He was an amazing musician, highly contributing to the unique sound of the band from 1970–1980."

6 de jun. de 1998 · John Tout: I started piano lessons when I was eight years old. I had been wanting to play the piano since I was four years old, but we couldn't afford a piano. So when I was eight, my dad bought a piano for 20 pounds. It was a nice piano too.
