Original drummer John Oreshnick took a leave of absence due to family issues in the fall of 2006, to be replaced by Yael during their subsequent tour. Yael and Johny Chow were former bandmates in My Ruin. Yael subsequently left the band in winter 2006, and Oreshnick rejoined.
John Oreshnick’s Angel City Drum Works is an integral part of Southern California’s music scene, with his facilities doubling as Fireball Ministry’s base of operations. For nearly two decades, a subversive clandestine cadre of true believers from all walks of life has spread the good word about the band.

17 de dic. de 2005 · The duo's ambitions soon outgrew the Queen City, though, and they soon relocated to New York City before ultimately settling in Los Angeles, where they met drummer John Oreshnick. In 2005, the group - now featuring bassist Johny Chow (ex-Systematic) - entered Dave Grohl's Studio 606 West, again with Raskulinecz behind the production helm.
