John Arthur Lithgow [ˈʤɔn ˈlɪθɡaʊ], född 19 oktober 1945 i Rochester, New York, är en amerikansk skådespelare, musiker, poet, författare och sångare. Lithgow har gjort så vitt skilda roller som förhärdad brottsling i Sylvester Stallone-filmen Cliffhanger och paradrollen som transsexuell i Garp och hans värld (1982).

Lithgow was born on February 3, 1972, in New York, New York, the only child from the marriage of actor John Lithgow and his first wife, Jean Taynton. He has two half-siblings, Phoebe (b. 1982) and Nathan (b. 1983). He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles.
