19 de nov. de 2020 · Fue el primer artista inglés en convertirse en baronet y desde ese momento se tituló Sir John Everett Millais. En 1896, Millias se convirtió en presidente de la Royal Academy, pero enfermó y murió poco después. Murió de cáncer de garganta en agosto de 1896 y está enterrado en la Catedral de St. Paul en Londres.
