14 de mar. de 2017 · “The band then worked on the arrangement for an afternoon at [drummer] John Cuffley’s place in Milwich, Staffs. Later, Colin honed and added to my lyrics to suit his own deep vocal style during the recording period, including evenings in the hotel in London after the sessions, when we would sit together and work on the lyrics.
It wasn’t until the album “Rich Man’ in 1973 that the band settled into a line-up which became permanent through the rest of the 70s and early 80s, comprising of Colin Cooper (saxes, harmonica and deep down vocals), Pete Haycock (guitars and vocals), Derek Holt (bass guitar and high-end vocals) and John Cuffley (drums and percussion).

23 de abr. de 2021 · John Cuffley Interview Climax Blues Band. Voted the most promising new group of 1977 by Capitol Radio, the Climax Blues ! Band has actively been on the music scene for 10 years. The release of “Real To Reel” on Sire Records marks the eleventh album for the group.
The album’s producer, John Ryan, liked the song and encouraged the band to include it on the album, so Holt played bass and sang lead on the session, while John Cuffley provided drums and Pete Haycock added the distinctive guitar solo.
