  2. John Burroughs School (JBS) is a private, non-sectarian college-preparatory school with 631 students in grades 7–12. Its 49-acre (200,000 m 2) campus is located in Ladue, Missouri (US), a suburb of St. Louis. Founded in 1923, it is named for U.S. naturalist and philosopher John Burroughs.

Serving grades 7 through 12, our institution embodies a commitment to a liberal arts education that encompasses a rich blend of academics, arts, athletics, and community engagement.

  5. For the 2023-24 school year, approximately 25% of our students have collectively been awarded more than $4.1 million. Tuition aid forms for current families and grade 9 applications are due on January 4, 2024. Grade 7 applicants should apply for aid by February 5, 2024.
