John Michael Jones, better known as John Bardon (25 August 1939 – 12 September 2014), was an English stage and movie actor. He was awarded the Laurence Olivier Award in 1988 (1987 season) as 'Best Actor in a Musical' for Kiss Me, Kate.

John Bardon. Actor. 25 August 1939 to 12 September 2014. A British actor best known for his role in Eastenders (1996-2011), in which he appeared as Jim Branning in more than 800 episodes. Bardon’s most notable big screen performance came in East Is East (1999), and he won an Olivier Award for his performance on stage in Kiss Me Kate in 1988.
