Zelt-Musik-Festival 2016. Calexico is an American indie rock band based in Tucson, Arizona. [2] Founded in 1996, the band's two main members, Joey Burns and John Convertino, first played together in Los Angeles as part of the group Giant Sand.

Joey Burns. Multi-instrumentalist (primarily double/acoustic bass, accordion, cello, harmonica, guitar, keyboards), born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on December 10, 1968. Grew up in Southern California, where he combined an education in classical music with a burgeoning interest in the LA punk scene centred around SST Records.
