Triumph and Agony is the fourth and final studio album by the German heavy metal band Warlock, released on 29 September 1987. The album was recorded in the US with producer Joey Balin and a different band line-up in comparison with the previous album True as Steel, which had made the name of Warlock known outside of Europe.

25 de ago. de 2021 · The making of Triumph and Agony is really a New York story. It was primarily recorded at the famous Power Station studio in midtown Manhattan by largely New York-based musicians and a New York producer, Joey Balin.
Hot Tuna again reformed in 1986, with producer Joey Balin joining on rhythm guitar until 1987. Kantner joined the band in 1987 and 1988, adding some old Jefferson Airplane songs to the setlist. Grace Slick appeared with them for one show at The Fillmore in March 1988.

29 de oct. de 2021 · Doro was introduced to Joey Balin, who would subsequently produce Triumph and Agony, and the pair explored New York. “I was in heaven,” Doro says. “Record stores opened 24 hours in New York, and I’m a big vinyl collector, so that was awesome. Joey was a musician, a little bit older than me, and a nice guy. We checked out the clubs.
