He has also played drums with Dweezil Zappa, Mike Keneally, Warren Cuccurullo and Duran Duran. Travers was involved in the Zappa Plays Zappa 2006 & 2007 tours.

Joe Travers (born Erie, Pennsylvania, USA) is an American drummer who has performed with Billy Idol, The Motels, The Wilsons, Duran Duran, Drake Bell and Z (Ahmet & Dweezil Zappa). Joe is a self-confessed music addict, who experienced both his first concert and his first drum set at the age of five.

Graduado en el Berklee College Of Music, Joe se trasladó a Los Ángeles en 1992 y en marzo de 1993 consiguió el concierto con el grupo "Z" de Dweezil y Ahmet Zappa. Desde entonces Joe ha tocado durante los últimos 7 años con Zappa Plays Zappa, el grupo de Dweezil dedicado a la música de Frank Zappa.

Grammy award winner Joe Travers has been playing drums in the Los Angeles area for twenty-five years. A Berklee College Of Music graduate, Joe moved to LA in 1992 and by March 1993 he had landed the gig with Dweezil & Ahmet Zappa's group "Z".
