Joe Gittleman is an associate professor of music and performing arts at Northern Vermont University, where he teaches courses on the music industry, artist management, music publishing, and music entrepreneurship. He is also the founder and bass player of the Boston band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, which has a platinum-selling album and a hit song.
Associate Professor Joe Gittleman is perhaps best known as the founder and bass player of the well-known Boston band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. He and his plaid-clad childhood pals formed the Bosstones with a workman-like approach and built a dedicated fan base through years of hard touring all over the world.
