Joe Barile Shango was an American rock quartet that recorded in 1969 and 1970. They are best remembered for their only Hot 100 chart appearance with the song "Day After Day (It's Slippin' Away)".

In 1980, Bob Spalding, later dubbed ‘the fifth Venture’ by fans, joined the band and then, in 1996, after the death of Mel Taylor, his son Leon became the new (and fifth!) drummer in The Ventures.
