Jimmy Bain (Newtonmore, 19 de diciembre de 1947-24 de enero de 2016) [1] fue un bajista escocés conocido por haber pertenecido a las bandas Rainbow y Dio, con Ronnie James Dio. Ha trabajado con Phil Lynott de Thin Lizzy , colaborando con las letras en sus discos en solitario.
James Stewart Bain (19 December 1947 – 23 January 2016) was a Scottish musician, best known for playing bass guitar in the bands Rainbow and Dio. He also worked with Kate Bush and Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott , co-writing on his solo albums.

19 de feb. de 2016 · On January 23 Jimmy Bain, veteran bassist with Last In Line, was found dead in his cabin by the ship’s staff. No one saw it coming. The 68-year-old Scot had been receiving treatment for pneumonia, but he’d played a pre-sail gig and soundchecked with the band he’d formed with fellow former Dio members Viv Campbell and Vinny Appice.
