Natural Sciences (Biological) I am a second year Natural Scientist at Jesus College studying biochemistry, cell and developmental biology and chemistry. I was particularly drawn to this course as it offers a wide range of both physical and biological subjects, with the opportunity to increasingly specialise over the years.
The first year of the course builds a solid foundation of knowledge, and then the many optional modules available in later years allow you to specialise in the topics you really enjoy. One of the main benefits of our shorter, fast paced terms is the amount of progress you make in such a short time. Jesus is one of the friendliest Colleges.
Jesus College has had Welsh connections since its founding in 1571, although our students now come from all over the UK and abroad. In 2022, we opened the Cheng Yu Tung Building on our historic site, which houses new study and teaching spaces, graduate facilities, a multi-faith prayer room, and a café. We are due to open an onsite gym in 2024.
Three Cambridge UK Masters and Jesus College Scholarships are awarded annually to postgraduate applicants ordinarily resident in the UK, to assist with the costs of one year Masters courses. These are joint awards between the Cambridge Trust and Jesus College, with Jesus College contributing £6,000 (50%) to each award.
