Jeremy Irons è nato a Cowes, sull' Isola di Wight, il 19 settembre del 1948, figlio di Paul Dugan Irons, un ragioniere inglese, e di Barbara Anne Sharpe, una casalinga inglese di remote origini irlandesi.
