Jennifer Kimball is a musician known for her unusual choice of notes, her passion for dissonance and her willingness to create harmony where none has been envisioned before. She is also a landscape designer, a craftsman and a part-time landscape architect who has released several solo and collaborative records, including the new Avocet, a surprise birthday recording session with saxophone player Alec Spiegelman.
Jennifer Kimball had no plans to make another album after 2006’s Oh Hear Us, but on her birthday two years ago, she received a surprise gift from her husband, Ry Cavanaugh: a recording session with an A list of Boston players.
