Jeff Mercel is an American multi-instrumentalist, composer, and studio musician, best known for his time in the indie rock band, Mercury Rev . Early life and education. Jeff Mercel attended SUNY Fredonia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1993. [1] .
In addition to ongoing solo work and work for film, television & commercial advertising, Jeff is an active session musician and live performer. Recent and ongoing live projects include: Ultraam, Wilde Vier, Primitive Air, Miracle Whips (PDX) and XLamas (debut release coming in 2024).
