She gained fame as a comedian, actor, dancer and as an associate and songwriter for the San Francisco rock band The Tubes; she also led her own band, Leila and the Snakes.

I would like to keep one of the funniest persons I have known in my life’s name alive. After seeing the commercial aircraft land in the Hudson River, I guess it managed to bring back a sad memory for me.
