James Taylor (29 March 1835 - 2 May 1892) was a Scottish tea planter who introduced tea to British Ceylon. He arrived to British Ceylon in 1852 and settled down in Loolecondera estate in Delthota.Here he worked with Scottish merchant Thomas Lipton to develop the tea industry in British Ceylon.
