James Sclavunos is an American drummer, multi-instrumentalist musician, record producer, and writer. He is best known as a drummer, having been a member of two seminal no wave groups in the late 1970s ( Teenage Jesus & the Jerks and 8 Eyed Spy , both alongside Lydia Lunch ).
Jim Sclavunos es un baterista, percusionista y productor estadounidense, de familia griega e italiana, que tocó en las bandas Sonic Youth, Tav Falco's Panther Burns, Lydia Lunch y formó parte de 8 Eyed Spy, The Cramps y Alice Texas. Está tocando en Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds desde 1994 y formó su propia agrupación llamada The Vanity Set .

Jim Sclavunos was a major part of New York’s ‘No Wave’ scene in the late 70s/early eighties. He played in Teenage Jesus and The Jerks, 8 Eyed Spy, Beirut Slump, The Gynecologists, Red Transistor and Sonic Youth.
