Betts is survived by his wife, Donna, and his four children: Duane, Christy, Jessica, and Kim. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them and to all of Betts’ loved ones during this sad time. John Lee Johnson (born July 8, 1944), frequently known by the stage names Jai Johanny Johanson and Jaimoe, is an American drummer and percussionist.He is best known as one of the founding members of the Allman Brothers Band. Johanson played with a number of Muscle Shoals and Memphis soul acts in the early-to-mid 1960s, such as Otis Redding and Sam and Dave, as a session and touring drummer.
