Louis Jacques Balsan (September 16, 1868 – November 4, 1956) was a French aviator and industrialist, born at Châteauroux (Indre) in 1868, who was the second husband of society beauty Consuelo Vanderbilt, Duchess of Marlborough. Consuelo's second marriage, on July 4, 1921, was to Lt. Col. Jacques Balsan, a record-breaking pioneer French balloon, aircraft, and hydroplane pilot who once worked with the Wright Brothers. 13 de jun. de 2022 · Lundi 4 avril dernier, l’aéroclub de France a organisé l'édition 2022 du prix de la photographie aéronautique « Jacques Balsan », ouvert aux photographes amateurs et professionnels, sous la présidence de M. Patrick Gandil. Ce prix mythique est le plus ancien prix de la photographie aéronautique, sa première édition fut en 1905!
