Jack Hawkins (Londres, 14 de septiembre de 1910-Londres, 18 de julio de 1973) [1] fue un actor británico que tuvo gran éxito entre las décadas de 1950 y 1960.
Jack Hawkins was a British actor who starred in The Bridge on the River Kwai, Zulu, Ben-Hur and other films. He served in the Royal Welch Fusiliers, married twice and lost his voice to cancer.
In May 1973, Hawkins had an experimental operation on his throat to insert an artificial voice box. He started haemorrhaging and was admitted to St Stephen's Hospital, Fulham Road, London in June, forcing him to drop out of The Tamarind Seed (1974), in which Hawkins was to have played a Russian general.
