We were informed by Judy Edwards that JD Hoag, who played with The Ventures in the early 1980s, passed away from the Corona virus on Sunday, April 26, 2020. He was 73 years old and had been battling the disease for several weeks.

I sure do remember JD. In the early 70s, before Marty that is, he was the hot ticket. I still have a couple of Pacific Northwest band vanity albums he played on. RC Bannon in particular. Great band. RC with Ice. Let's see it was JD, Katz Kobayashi, Michael Clothier, Ray Arthur and what was that drummer's name?
