Jay Robert Pritzker (born January 19, 1965) is an American businessman, politician, philanthropist, attorney, and venture capitalist serving since 2019 as the 43rd governor of Illinois. He is from Chicago and is a member of the wealthy Pritzker family, which owns the hotel chain Hyatt.
