Joanne Kathleen "Jo" Rowling veya bilinen adıyla J. K. Rowling (d. 31 Temmuz 1965, İngiltere), Harry Potter adlı fantastik roman serisinin İngiliz yazarı. Kathleen, kendisine verilen bir ad olmamasına rağmen, büyükannesinin onuruna bu adı almıştır.
