  3. 13 de may. de 2022 · Crawling Through Grass is a unique new album from Ritual Tension/Carnival Crash frontman Ivan Nahem that brings post-punk/noise influences into a more calming, meditative setting.Inspired by Nahem’s experience with yoga and utilizing newly learned music engineering skills, the album presents rhythmic, ambient compositions with creative (and sometimes eerie) sound design.

  4. April 2022 saw the release of Crawling Through Grass by Ivan Nahem + ex->tension. This grew from an idea Bielski had that we should do an album merging my postpunk and yoga sensibilities. Besides Gregg, collaborators on these pieces included Andrew Nahem, Norman Westberg, Mark C, Jon Fried, Jadwiga Taba, and Helen Nulty.

Nahem, a noisemaking multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, played a crucial role in helping plant the seeds of the noise-rock movement in dark and dank downtown New York City throughout the ’80s and ’90s.

Carnival Crash was comprised of bassist and vocalist John Griffin, guitarist Norman Westberg, and drummer and vocalist Ivan Nahem, and formed when the three members met in New York City at the dawn of the ’80s, eventually forming a necessary throughline from the conceptual rock of the ’70s, to the harsher, more sardonic punk of the ’80s.
