Charles Hawtrey had asked Italia Conti to train the children to act in Where the Rainbow Ends. Doing this led to Conti's founding of her drama school, the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. In 1925, the academy moved to Lamb's Conduit Street. Bombing in May 1940 destroyed the building, and Conti faced a serious financial loss.

The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts is a performing arts conservatoire based in Woking, England. It was founded by the actress Italia Conti in 1911. Italia Conti is a member of the Federation of Drama Schools, and accredited by the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT).
Since September 2022, Italia Conti has been based in state of the arts facilities in Woking, which include specialised recording, television and theatre spaces, dance and aerial studios, as well as offering opportunities for growth.Designed by architect Benoy as part of the new mixed-use development, this site is adjacent to the New Victoria, Rhoda McGaw and Buzz Theatres.
