Within Contextual Practice, students explore the history of musical theatre. This focuses on the development of musical theatre as a social and politic influence, as well as recognising the chronologic evolution of theatrical trends. Lessons are also used to contextualise the landscape of musical theatre and materials covered in other classes.

Italia Conti in conjunction with The Stage newspaper offers applicants the opportunity to audition for a scholarship funded place on the Trinity Level 6, three-year diploma in Musical Theatre. Launching this summer, Italia Conti presents our Pre-vocational Summer School. This new, intensive course pushes you to achieve your creative best and preparing students for full-time training in Performing Arts. Once you have selected a stream – Acting, Dance or Musical Theatre, you will experience expert tuition in your chosen field from our experienced staff and industry experts.
Entry to diploma in professional Dance requires the following: 16+ by the 31st August in the year of entry . Legal right to reside/study in the UK for the full period of the programme. Successful audition through Italia Conti, details of which can be found below. Evidence in hard copy of all the above must be provided.
Hannah had her Secondary School education at Sylvia Young Theatre School and then trained in Professional Musical Theatre at Italia Conti Arts Centre, Guildford, where she graduated as Head Girl.
