Photo courtesy Ishmael Wilburn. I have to imagine that getting an offer to play with Weather Report, let alone record an album with them, was probably the last thing on Wilburn’s mind at the time. He was twenty years old and his experience was mainly limited to local groups.
Ishmael Wilburn is new behind the drums while percussionist Don Um Romao, keyboardist Joe Zawinul and saxophone player Wayne Shorter are the remaining members from the lineup on Weather Report´s preceeding studio album "Sweetnighter (1973)".
