Industrial is the debut album by the band Pitch Shifter. It was released in 1991 on Peaceville Records. It is the only Pitchshifter album featuring Mark Clayden on lead vocals. After Industrial was released, the band released a single "Death Industrial" with two new tracks that would later be released on Submit .

Pitchshifter (originally Pitch Shifter) are an English industrial rock band from Nottingham, formed in 1989. The band was started by lead guitarist and programmer Johnny A. Carter, and bassist and vocalist Mark Clayden.

Pitchshifter es una banda de metal industrial de Nottingham, Inglaterra. Se formó entre 1989 y 1990, muy influenciada por bandas como Killing Joke, Swans, Godflesh y Black Flag.
Pitchshifter might have been the first to bridge industrial metal with death metal (pre-dating Fear Factory's "Soul of a New Machine" by a year), unless you count "Streetcleaner". "Industrial" is a heavy, gritty record that benefits from the relative absence of similar records from the time. Still, Pitchshifter would soon render it obsolete.
