Tommy Lee Jones, with his weather-beaten face, is convincing as a tough, patriotic American military dad. Charlize Theron is satisfying as a frustrated local cop. Even minor roles are well cast. Kathy Lamkin, in a small role, couldn't be any more realistic as the impersonal, haggard manager of a fast-food restaurant.

Review by WilysChefs ★★★½. Murder mystery revolving around soldiers returning from Iraq and their dffficulty integrating into society. Tommy Lee Jones got the oscar nom, but Charlize Theron was his equal in the role of the police detective helping solve the murder of his son. A little uneven, but overall an intersting film.

Tommy Lee Jones plays that soldiers father, a retired Military Police Officer, who launches his own investigation, and he continues to be the best actor I've ever seen.
