the crown is kind of their first logo, and definitely the first icon that's lasted beyond a single album cycle. prior albums were mostly about a broader aesthetic (font, icons, colours etc) and the band's logo was "fall out boy" rendered in whatever that album's font was. in terms of key "icon" branding for album cycles/sets:
