2 de mar. de 2024 · Icicles Revisited and Reimagined Many photographers do not love post-processing (ie editing) their photos. Most do some editing, however, because it is necessary to reveal the scene properly. That said, they try to get it as right as possible in the camera.

But Berne then shifts gear completely in the nine-minute Icicles Revisited, a piece of pensive, mournful and wildly dissonant chamber music. The instruments are suddenly strangers, hardly knowing each other, hardly acknowledging each other's gestures, and the saxophone becomes the protagonist of a demented and melancholy soliloquy.

5 de abr. de 2012 · The following track “Icicles Revisited” again begins with Roberts’ forlorn cello as the other players join in and slowly redirect the tune into some spacious and loose improv that briefly recalls everything from Derek Bailey to Braxton to the Art Ensemble of Chicago in their “little instruments” mode.
