Ian Anderson Paice (Nottingham, 29 juni 1948) is een Engelse muzikant, voornamelijk bekend geworden als drummer van de hardrockband Deep Purple. Tijdens de 'rustperiode' van Deep Purple (1976-1984) speelde Ian achtereenvolgens bij Paice, Ashton & Lord, Robin Trower, Maggie Bell, Whitesnake en Gary Moore.
Ian Paice, né le 29 juin 1948 (75 ans) à Nottingham, est un batteur connu pour sa participation au groupe de hard rock Deep Purple. Paice est d'ailleurs le seul membre de Deep Purple à avoir connu toutes les périodes du groupe ; il est un des membres fondateurs en 1968 et n'a jamais quitté son poste depuis cette date.

Seu primeiro contato com a música foi ao tocar violino, mas aos 15 anos de idade, escolheu a bateria como instrumento.

The Deep Purple drummer has played with Whitesnake, Gary Moore, the Velvet Underground, Jeff Beck, George Harrison, William Shatner, and of course Deep Purple, which is why we just called him “the Deep Purple drummer”.
