Iain Norman Macleod (11 November 1913 – 20 July 1970) was a British Conservative Party politician and government minister. A playboy and professional bridge player in his twenties, after war service Macleod worked for the Conservative Research Department before entering Parliament in 1950.
As the world’s 10th largest Scotch whisky company, Macleod’s produce and sell over 15 million bottles of spirits every year. The firm is a major supplier to the ‘buyers’ own brand’ market and has provided own-label spirits to some of Europe's largest supermarket groups for over 40 years.
Ian Macleod and Company is a Scottish distillery and spirits producer founded in 1933. It owns several whisky brands, such as Isle of Skye, Glengoyne, and Chieftain's, and offers online shopping and delivery.
