Having already announced that Barrie would be retiring at the end of the year due to health concerns and, after an enforced Covid pandemic break throughout 2020, the band decided to return to the stage in 2021 with long time bassist Ian 'Dipster' Dean taking over the vocal duties.

8 de may. de 2023 · During the months of Covid lockdown, Chords UK bassist Mic Stoner agreed to join the band so long-standing bassist (22 yrs) Ian ‘Dipster’ Dean could take over vocal duties alongside drummer Simon Bowley (26yrs) and Richard Holgarth (20yrs) on guitar.

7 de mar. de 2023 · Now with Ian “Dipster” Dean singing (as he had on that show that Barrie couldn’t make) there’s one link to the past, drummer Simon Bowley is the nephew of original drummer Ian Nichol, but it doesn’t actually matter who’s in the band in truth.
