I absolutely hate my job. I'm really good at my job I just don't enjoy it ever. I'm a corrections officer and just made Sergeant not too long ago. I'm 29 years old with a sick wife and two kids. I can't make less then what I do now 26.34 USD it's not much but it gets me by as my single income as I'm frugal and own both my vehicles.
I know I shouldn't quit my job without another one lined up, but I really can't take much more of this job and I am feeling very defeated by the job search. I want more time to work on side projects like my writing and I'm not sure how to accomplish that without quitting on the spot. I don't know what I want to be honest.
