23 de dic. de 2014 · [HURRY SUNDOWN - (1967) - Widescreen presentation] Personally, I'm glad Olive films are releasing a handful of Otto Preminger's films from his latter career that weren't previously available. 'Such Good Friends' (1971) was such an unexpected treat that I jumped on this one immediately, though the results were murky this time out.
30 de dic. de 2014 · It will come as no surprise to viewers that Hurry Sundown opened in 1967 to mostly negative reviews. Video Quality. [Rating:3.5/5] This Olive Media restoration is mighty good with effective presentation of colors and details. There is occasional washout and blur but these prove to be the exceptions in this widescreen version. Audio Quality.
13 de ene. de 2015 · Hurry Sundown can be purchased as part of The Otto Preminger Collection, which also includes Skidoo (1968) and Such Good Friends (1971), or it can be purchased as a standalone BD. Either way, it's an excellent visual and aural presentation of a lesser film, one that should please fans of Preminger as well as those interested in the cinema of racial confrontation.
