Hollywood Lie is the fourth studio album of original material by American rock band Missing Persons, and seventh release overall. The album was released November 10, 2023, on Cleopatra Records. [1] [2] It's the band's first studio album in 37 years. The single, "Ice Blue Eyes", preceded the release of the album. [3]

6 de nov. de 2023 · The first Missing Persons album written by Dale Bozzio in over 35 years captures echoes of the new wave band’s ‘80s heyday. ‘Hollywood Lie’ is the third full-length release since the singer revived the act and follows the 2020 covers collection ‘Dreaming’ – on which she dipped her toes into writing again on three new songs.
Hollywood Lie is the first studio album under the Missing Persons banner since 2020’s Dreaming. Hollywood Lie is exactly what one would expect from the band. Bozzio’s iconic vocals are there in several songs (“Castles In The Sand” is a good example), and the songs are fine, but there is a feeling of trying to capture the 1980s.
