The love ballad is undoubtedly one of Paul McCartney’s most beautiful – and most underrated – compositions. It ranks among McCartney’s personal favorite songs and John Lennon considered it one of The Beatles’ finest.

The work of John Lennon was marked by its exquisite beauty and by its brutal honesty. So in that vein, let me say, that while I'm both deeply honored to be here — I'm also incredibly pissed-off.
